“Making uptake of solar combined with home battery easier is a key part of making households more energy efficient and further decarbonising Australia’s existing residential properties. Enreal’s subscription product will help Australians finance, install and manage their solar and battery systems in one place while building further strength in the coordinated consumer energy space.”

Our investment

The CEFC, as part of its $50 million commitment to Intellihub Group in 2024, is backing a discount to the subscription services of Intellihub brand Enreal.

Enreal offers a range of subscriptions, including an All-in-one Home Energy Kit and Battery only, that are backed by the CEFC discount.

The discount applies to eligible homeowners whose property is valued at less than $2.5 million when a subscription is entered into. Discounts vary depending on the size of the home energy kit or battery subscription chosen and the location of the project. The program is offered in Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. For further details, see the Enreal website

OUR IMPACT

Making household solar and batteries more accessible

Domestic rooftop solar panels and batteries, smart systems and electric vehicles are crucial technologies for Australia’s transition to net zero emissions by 2050. Home batteries, if well co-ordinated, can save consumers some $4.1 billion in avoided costs for additional grid-scale investment.1

One in three Australian households already have rooftop solar2, but only one in 40 have a battery.3

Upfront costs of battery systems have been a major hurdle for households wanting to optimise the use of solar generated on their rooftops.

Subscription services can cover the upfront and installation costs of solar and battery systems, providing an additional way that Australian households can tap into the benefits of solar generated on their own rooftops.

The CEFC, through its commitment to Intellihub is seeking to support better management of the energy grid and to help Australians better understand how they can save on power costs while reducing their carbon footprints.

We want to help more Australians own their energy consumption and management. Our work with the CEFC helps to make that opportunity more accessible for consumers. Our long-term goal is to help the country’s transition to a more sustainable energy future and empowering people to contribute to this is at the heart of what we do.
