ESG
Environmental, Social and Governance
The CEFC embeds environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in our investment and corporate activities. This integrated approach supports engagement with asset owners, managers and other stakeholders on material ESG issues.
Through our ESG policy we have prioritised factors where we believe we can have material influence through our investment and corporate activities. We believe that well governed social, environmental and economic systems can enhance sustainable, long-term risk adjusted returns.
Climate Active
As a material factor of our ESG commitment, the CEFC has achieved certified carbon neutral status for our organisational carbon footprint, in accordance with Australian Government Climate Active initiative. Climate Active certification is undertaken annually and is based on carbon emissions borne from an organisation’s operational activities such as work travel, electricity, cleaning, stationary, etc.
