Fraudulent grant offer emails

We are aware of scam emails currently circulating that falsely claim to offer grant funding on behalf of the CEFC. These communications are not authorised, and we are not affiliated with any such offers.

Please be advised:
  • The CEFC does not distribute grants or financial assistance via unsolicited email communications.
  • We will never request personal, banking, or confidential information, nor will we request people to transfer money to us, via unsolicited email or other informal channels.
  • Any email purporting to offer grant money in our name should be treated as a scam.
Recommended Action:
  • Do not respond to these emails.
  • Do not click on any links these emails may contain.
  • Report the message as phishing or spam through your email provider.
  • Report suspicious emails or texts to https://portal.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam/
  • If you have any concerns or if you're ever unsure whether an email or message is legitimately from the CEFC, message us.
