Our investment
The CEFC has committed up to $40 million through its Household Energy Upgrades Fund (HEUF)™ to support discounted green loans by home electrification and energy efficiency platform Brighte.
The Brighte HEUF Discounted Green Loan offers an introductory promotional rate of 6.99 per cent, with terms ranging from two to 10 years. Loans are available for amounts between $2,000 and $55,000, with fortnightly repayments and flexible options including lump sum payments.
Through the program, eligible Australian households will be able to access energy upgrades, including the installation of solar and battery systems, energy-efficient heating and cooling, insulation, and electric vehicle chargers.

OUR IMPACT
The sustainability opportunity for household savings
The majority of Australia’s homes were built before the introduction of minimum energy performance requirements and without full consideration of Australian climates.
Australia’s transition to net zero emissions requires the improvement of building energy performance, electrification of homes, and access to renewable energy sources.
The HEUF seeks to provide low-cost, efficient, customer-centric and scalable co-financing programs to help households improve their sustainability on their net zero journey.
By working with retail financiers, the CEFC is aiming to help householders cut their borrowing costs as they upgrade their home energy performance.
Tapping into Brighte experience
Brighte has a network of more than 2,500 vendors nationwide and by 2025 had financed more than $2 billion in upgrades for more than 200,000 households to drive both emissions reduction and household savings.
CEFC HEUF finance is enabling Brighte to scale its impact and help more Australian families play a central role in shaping Australia’s clean energy future.
We are pleased to work with Brighte in supporting the continued rollout of the HEUF program. Brighte’s extensive reach and expertise in delivering home energy finance solutions put them in a strong position to help more Australian households access energy upgrades, which is a valuable step forward in Australia’s energy transition.Grace TamHead of Consumer Finance, CEFC
