CEFC and Enreal helping more Aussies power their homes with solar and battery

Enreal

The CEFC is helping consumers access the benefits of rooftop solar and batteries by backing Intellihub and the Enreal Home Energy Kit subscription, which helps reduce the upfront costs of generating green energy at home.

Making uptake of solar combined with home battery easier is a key part of making households more energy efficient and further decarbonising Australia’s existing residential properties. Enreal’s subscription product will help Australians finance, install and manage their solar and battery systems in one place, while building further strength in the coordinated consumer energy space.

Did you know: There are currently four million rooftop solar systems installed across Australia – representing one in three households.

However, only one in forty households have a battery – with upfront cost having long been the number one barrier to electrification.

This is the bridge Enreal is seeking to build.

A new way to manage your energy

An Enreal subscription enables homeowners to have solar and a battery installed in their homes – with zero upfront spend and a fixed, no-surprise monthly payment.

And thanks to our work with the CEFC, a percentage of this bill is covered for solar-with-battery or battery alone installations.

Helping you support a more sustainable future

The CEFC is a specialist climate investor, working to help cut emissions in the race towards net zero by 2050.

By working with corporations, banks, non-bank lenders and a range of financial institutions, it provides discounted asset finance programs to help put more Australians on the path to sustainability, in their homes and on the road, with its capital also driving the sustainable transformation of the nation’s key sectors.

Intellihub CEO Wes Ballantine said Intellihub’s collaboration with the CEFC provides further incentive for people to ramp up their home electrification.

“We want to help more Australians own their energy consumption and management. Our work with the CEFC helps to make that opportunity more accessible for consumers.

“Our long-term goal is to help the country’s transition to a more sustainable energy future and empowering people to contribute to this is at the heart of what we do.”
